Scrona is a spin-off from ETH Zurich and was founded in 2014. The team is on the verge of commercializing a technical breakthrough by developing a scalable printing solution that is characterized by resolution, robustness and versatility (e.g. usable materials) and offers customers significant cost advantages. This technology allows printing with higher resolution and more viscous material than traditional inkjet printing processes. Scrona holds the world record for the smallest printed color photo.
Scrona has developed a printing machine that integrates the ultra-high resolution capability of electrostatic printing into a scalable MEMS chip with multiple nozzles and digital control.
